safety courses and maintenance in India

IOSH Courses India

The best equipment available is only the best as long as it remains in the state that it was made. A good maintenance schedule will go a long way to ensuring that it does so. The user’s life depends on their personal fall protection systems and equipment being maintained properly.

Equipment should be:

kept clean and dry and properly stored;
thoroughly dried before storage;
repaired or altered only when approved by the manufacturer.

Regular checks and inspections must be carried out. It is a good idea to get into the habit of doing this so that it becomes almost second nature. Not only will it ensure that any deterioration is spotted in good time, but also under many regulations, it is a legal requirement. These inspections should be carried out by a competent person and their results recorded so that in the event of some incident occurring, the records can be consulted to define the company’s position.

New equipment should be checked before use to make sure it is appropriate for the intended use, that it operates correctly and that it is in good condition.

If there is a recognised hazard in the environment in which the equipment is to be used, e.g. exposure to acids or alkalis or grit blasting etc, then the inspection routine should be altered to take account of this and damaged equipment must be taken out of service immediately.

Gravity has an uncompromising way of punishing even the briefest lapses in attention and care. In order to ensure that workers return home safe and sound from even the most hazardous jobs, the correct employment of fall protection equipment, at the right time, in the right place and under the right circumstances is vital.

NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health India

This is the highest qualification that NEBOSH currently offer; it’s designed for those looking to fill high level health and safety positions. The diploma can be taken directly however we would always recommend that you undergo the NEBOSH international certificate first. Those students that have prior NEBOSH experience tend to get the higher passing results. Taking the international diploma in India is normally done online allowing the student more time to study and digest the information in smaller bite sized units. Classroom versions of this qualification exist but are normally very expensive and time consuming with poor passing percentages.

NEBOSH health and safety training India

NEBOSH health and safety training in India is conducted either online or via the traditional classroom method. We provide NEBOSH training at our training facilities in Hyderabad, nebosh course in mumbai, nebosh course in delhi. We can arrange training in other locations to meet your needs and have the ability to deliver these trainings at a company’s workplace. Those looking for health and safety training or OSHA training in India are advised to consider the NEBOSH qualifications as they carry more international recognition.

Safety officer training India

A large majority of our students are studying to become safety officers and have foregone the usual route of collating lots of small low level courses and opted instead to take a globally recognised qualification like IOSH or NEBOSH. In many parts of the world including the Middle East holding an internationally recognised safety qualification is mandatory when applying for a safety related position. Those that already hold a position in safety choose to take these qualifications to increase their knowledge and future proof themselves against changing legislation and corporate practices.

Fall Protection

Despite the alarming number of casualties, both fatalities and injuries suffered as a result of accidents while working at heights, people continue to be both badly injured and die as a result of such incidents. If safe working practices and protective equipment were doing their job, there would be considerably fewer people hurt or killed. Clearly, this is not the case, so what is going wrong?

The scale of the problem.

The total number of fatal injuries to workers for 2007/08 was 229 compared with 247 for 2006/07. Of these, the number of workers fatally injured as a result from falling from a height rose from 52 in 2006/07 to 58 in 2007/08, an increase of 12%.

Ladders (16 deaths), roofs (11 deaths) and scaffold (7 deaths) were the most common agents associated with a fatal injury to workers during 2007/08.

In 2007/08, falls from height killed twenty-one employees in the construction industry, three people in transport, two in offices, one in agriculture, one in extraction and utility supply, one in retail, one in health and social work and one in other services. When the self-employed are factored in, the figures rise alarmingly.
